Notes:

1. First described in 2022, pangurban is a genus of Nimravid (false sabre-toothed cat) named for the cat, Pangur Bán, in the Old Irish poem.

2. Smilodons are the best-known sabre-toothed predators.

Virginie Trachsler is writing a PhD dissertation on contemporary Irish poetry and works as a translator. She spends most of her time in Paris, where she teaches English literature as well as French as a foreign language. Her poetry has been published in The Waxed Lemon and Abridged.
